This is a POP3 mail Client for Windows. This piece of software does not use the Mail API provided by Windows. Instead, it relies on (low level?) socket programming to do the trick.
It lets you download mail selectively. It also lets you delete mail off the server without having to download it - The best weapon against junk mail...
It has built in support for POP authentication for SMTP required by some servers (like Yahoo!). Without this, to send mail using servers like Yahoo's, you would have to make a POP3 login just before sending mail - a real pain in the neck.
It doesn't have support for HTML and RTF mail (not yet, that is.) But that's ok. You can download mail save it as an ".emf" file and view it with, say, Outlook Express.
